General Department of Exploration

This Department shall undertake the following tasks and functions:

1. Supervision over all exploration works carried out by the companies at the various areas of the Republic and identification of the extent of their conformity with the provisions of the agreements.

2. Participation in the exploration studies, in coordination with the competent agencies in the  Board.

3. Nomination of engineers and technicians for secondment to contractor or sub-contractor companies, pursuant to the effective agreements.

4. Preparation of engineers' distribution plan and programs to cover field exploration and office works and activities.

5. Coordination of its activity with the other General Departments in the Sector and Board.

6. Proposing training needs in the field of its activity.

7. Presentation of regular reports on its activities and achievement, including current exploration works.

8. Any other tasks entailed by the nature of its functions or entrusted to it.
